Born about 1622 Thomas Southcote was son of George Southcote of Bucklands Tout Saintes in Devon and his wife, Frances. [1]He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford and Lincoln's Inn.[1]
With a settlement signed on the 15th of January 1650 he married Alice Petre, daughter of Abraham Petre of Marldon in Devon. [1]They were the parents of 2 sons, one of whom died in his father's lifetime, and 3 daughters. [1]
In 1661, after the restoration, he was returned to Parliament as member for Dartmouth.[1]
Thomas died 28 March 1664.[1]
