Naomi Pegg Sowman (1909–1992) known as
Peg or Peggy was named after Naomi, the
wife of William Songer, in 1934. She married
Cyril Satherley, the son of Martin and Ida
Satherley, Ranzau West, Appleby.
As well as raising her own family, Peg looked
after her Aunt Elsie, her own mother, and
over a period of time, three or four foster
children.
Peggy and Cyril had
five children—Roderick, Sandra, Susanne
(Sue), Yvonne and Carolyn.[1]
