And it is hereby confirmed that an Affidavit for Inland Revenue has been delivered wherein it is shewn that the gross value of the said Estate in Great Britain (exclusive of what the said deceased may have been entitled to as a Trustee and not beneficially) amounts to £ 674 - 3 - 9 and that the net value of the personal Estate amounts to £ 78 - 14 - 7
Dated the 29th day of May 1942
NOTES:
1. In 1881 Hubert was shown as being at Cranleigh School as a 14 year old pupil, in 1891 he is shown living in his father's house and his occupation is given as brewer. His father Thomas in his Will of 1905 appoints Hubert as an Executor and shows him as a farmer farming Lydling farm in Shackleford. Hubert writes his Will in 1907 and by that time he has moved to Southend on Sea, though he does not give his occupation at this time. He dies in 1942 in Pinner 35 years after writing his Will and without altering a word of it. This makes me suspect that he had no children.
2. In order to confirm that we have the right Hubert Henry White I checked the GRO death indexes to confirm his age. This checked out.
