Crofts Family Bible, The Practical and Devotional Family Bible (Scotland: William Collins, Sons, and Company, n.d. (but after 1868)); privately held by Geoff Setford, Porepunkah, 1998. Much of the data contained within appears inaccurate (i.e. not written up at the time of the event).

The publisher's particular style of name did not exist until after 1868

The family pages start off with Joseph and Ann Crofts' names, splendidly calligraphed.

Lauren Thomson suspects that perhaps the bible could have been a gift to Fred Crofts on the occasion of his marriage to Mary Ann Hingston Tickell in 1875 from his mother Ann (Blower) Crofts who was living nearby at the time. The bible lists details of Joseph and Ann's marriage, and then lists the births of their children.

Unfortunately it looks as though there was a page of further family information at the back of the bible, but it has been removed.

It is as if information was recorded on the next generation and then someone decided that the bible should only include the man + first family (wish I could read my own writing) and have then covered up the section on the next generation and removed the page from the book.

I have checked all the pages of the bible to see if there are any loose pages or other pages of family information.
