Hello! My name is Cathleen Dewar. My father is a Dewar. I have his and my Grandpas info, but my great Grand Father is a mystery. His name was James Dewar and was born in 1870, his wife was Agnes Erskine-Edmond (it may have been his mother?) I know that my grandfather was beaten as a child and had a drunk of a father. My grandfather ran away and tried to join General Pershings army as a drummer boy, but was found to be lying about his age and never got to join. After that he rode the rails. Everything of my g-grandfathers is lost. I am trying to make some connection, but I am truly stuck. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
