Joel Dyer (1809-1854) is my GGG Grandfather who in 1840 lived with his family in Russell County, KY and in 1850 lived with his family in Edmonson County, KY (Federal Censuses) Joel also bought and sold property in Edmonson County. In 1832, Joel married to Anna Moser (1819-aft 1880) in Surry County, NC.
yDNA testing with FTDNA has identified Floyd Travis Dyer and Archie Lee Dyer Jr. as sharing a direct line with Joel. yDNA test results are positive (109/111) with David O Dyer's line, (104/111) with George Charles Dyer's line, and (67/67) with Benjamin Lewis Dyer's line.
And yet, we still cannot determine the exact ancestors beyond Joel.
