Fork River Community Cemetery

Fork River cemetery is to be found in the north-east corner of Manitoba PTH 20 {Manitoba Provincial Trunk Highway 20} and Manitoba PR269 {Manitoba Provincial Road 269.} The parcel of land that the cemetery occupies is a portion of the section of land known as: SW-25-29-19-W1. The cemetery parcel is legally described thus: "SW 25-29-19 COMM AT THE SW CORNER THENCE E 429F THENCE N 429F THENCE W 76F TO E BANK OF MOSSEY RIVER THENCE SW ALONG RIVER TO THE W BOUNDARY OF 1/4 SEC THENCE S APPROXIMATELY 217F TO THE POINT OF COMM"

Cemetery Sections A & B are in the SW corner along side Highway 20. Section A is largely populated, while Section B is largely empty. Section C runs along the east side of Sections A & B and contains only two graves. Section D is separated from the other sections by a heavily wooded dry watercourse running north-south through the property. Section D is accessed by heading east from PTH 20 on PR 269 for 429 feet then turning left (north) onto the long lane. Section D occupies the south east corner of the cemetery parcel.
