History
The Timaru City Council sexton books start in 1872, the year the sexton was appointed. There may be older burials at Geraldine on the east side of the cemetery where there are broken headstones and free ground areas. Though the older burials are scattered from one end of the cemetery to the other in rows 950, 305, 401, 402 and 902.
