Hello!

I recently figured out the Hammon(d) I thought was the father of Catharina Hammon is most likely not. I do know she was born in Ohio about 1837. Her father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother was born in Germany based on the 1880 Fed census. Based on her age, her father was born before 1820. She was married in Tuscarawas, Oh 22 Dec 1855. She would have been 18 at that time. Her marriage record does not indicate who her parents are, or if she is an orphan. The 1860 and 1870 Fed census do not ask questions about parents. She died in Wells Co, Indiana, USA in 1891, so she is not on further census records. She has been linked to Moses Hammond and Isabelle Armentrout; but I just discovered that their Catherine married a different individual and lived into the 1900's.
