Jacka burials so far identified in Porthleven parish Cemetery and how they are related
So far in this cemetery, all the Jacka burials identified are related to James Jacka (1823 - aft. 1888)
James married twice, and is buried in the same cemetery as 4 of his children and his first wife, death notice read as follows:-
- “JACKA – At Porthleven, Feb 28, Mary Ann, the beloved wife of Mr James Jacka, grocer and postmaster, aged 37 years. Her end was peace”[1]
Two children from his first wife Mary Ann Kitto (bef. 1826 - 1864) are also buried in the same cemetery. Mary was only survived by only two of her four children, her eldest Elizabeth, and Emily who was born a few months before she passed away. Mary and the two children who predeceased her, Emily & Thomas are all buried in Porthleven parish Cemetery, Portleven, Cornwall.[2] [3]

Mary and her young children are all mentioned on the grave headstone and supporting the notion that they are all buried in the same grave are
- In / Memory / of / Mary Ann / wife of / James Jacka / who departed this life Febry 28th 1864 / Aged 37 / Also of / Emily Jane / Daughter of the above mentioned / James and Mary Ann Jacka / Who died Febry 10th. 1860 / Aged 3 years & 5 Months / And of Thomas Jacka their son / Who died March 10th 1860 / Aged 7 years & five months / All flesh is as grass.
And two children from his second wife and cousin Eliza Jacka (1835- )

- 2. Josiah Lobb Jacka (1878 - bef. 1878)
Although not a child of James, Solomon Rowe Jacka (1859 - 1866) are related as 2nd cousins.
