J Mills, cert, Slaves
Union County
Joseph Mills came before me James Townsend a Justice of the peace in and for said County and made oath that he had removed from the state of Maryland to this State with the intention of Settling here and with him have brought the following Slaves John, Philip, Ann & Betty for his own use and immaluments.
Witness my hand this 15th June 1822

I Samuel Casey clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do hereby certify that on the day of the date hereof This certificate of the affidavit of Joseph Mills was produced to me in my office and thereupon at the request of the said Joseph Mills admitted to record.
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand this first day of June 1822.
