The goal of this project is to compile a comprehensive tree that maps the immigration to the country and it's rich mixed cultural heritage of Indo, Sino, Afro and Franco Mauritians.
Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Laurence Hudson.
Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.
- Establish the groundwork for living Mauritian Notables.
- Establish contact with the Mahatma Gandhi Institute in Moka, Mauritius to attain documentation.
- Creation of profiles of Indian migrants who emigrated to Mauritius from India between 1834 and 1920.
