Built on farmland by John Woolsey in 1844 Main product - Castings for Textile Mills Succeeded by son Robert Woolsey

Bright Brothers (William Henry and George along with father David) then owned 1879 - 1920 (renamed foundry from Portadown Foundry) Structural Steel, Lighters, castings for textile mills etc

James Alexander Williamson managed initially from 1912 for Bright Brothers then bought Foundry in 1920. Name reverted to Portadown Foundry. James Alexander succeeded by son Frederick Stanley Arnott Williamson. Williamson owned until 1973. during World War one - grenade casings, plane fuselages, and during world war two hand grenades and bombardon tanks used in breakwaters for landing craft. Structural Steel, Railway buffers, turntables, switch points etc., construction trade.

McNeill group took over 1973 to 1979 (F Williamson remained as a director until 1975)

Johnston Family then took over in 1979 until the Foundry's closure in 1983.
