Will

In the Name of God Amen I Katharine Underhill of Quinton in the County
of Gloucester Widow being of sound and perfect Mind and Memory blessed by God do make and ordain this my
last Will and Testament in manner following That is to say First of all I give and Bequeath to my Son
George Underhill One Fether Bed with the Bedstead Blanketts Pillows Bolsters and everything thereto
belonging and used therewith Also I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Hannah Cooper Ten Pounds
to buy her a Mourning and one Fether Bed with the Bedstead Blanketts Pillows Bolsters and everything
thereto belonging and used with the same and also all my Wearing Apparell of what nature or kind
soever Also I Give abd Bequeath to my Grandsons George and William Underhill the sum of Ten
Pounds apiece and to my Grandaughter Hannah Underhill the sum of Thirty pounds which said
three Legacys my Will is shall be paid to my said Grandchildren as they shall severally attain their
respective ages of one and Twenty years and my Will and Mind is that if either of them the said
George William and Hannah Underhill shall happen to depart this Life before he she or they shall attain
their respective ages of Twenty one years that then the Legacy of him her or them shall be paid to the
survivors or survivor of them attaining such age I also Give and Bequeath to my Grandson Robert
Cooper
the sum of Forty Pounds to be paid him by my Executor when he shall attain the age of one and
Twenty years And my Will and Mind is my Executor hereinafter named shall place the said several
Legacys given to my said Grandchildren out of Interest in his own name and pay the same to or
otherwise apply the same for the use & Benefit of my said Grandchildren respectively untill their said
Legacys shall become due and payable And my Will and Mind further is that my Executor shall not be
Answerable or accountable for any or either of the aforesaid Legacys given to my said Grandchildren
that shall be by him placed out of Interest and happen to be lost by virtue and under the Direction of this
my Will but that such loss shall be bourne by such of my said Grandchildren whose respective Legacy
shall happen to be so lost provided the same be not occasioned by the willfull neglect or misconduct
of my said Executor And in case my said Grandson Robert Cooper shall depart this Life before he shall
attain Twenty one years of age then I Give and Bequeath the said Legacy to him given to my Executor
Also I Give and Bequeath to Ann Whitehead Wife of James Whitehead of the Parish of Saint James's in the
County of Middlesex the sum of One Hundred Pounds to be paid to her within Twelve Months next after my
Decease All the rest residue and Remainder of my Money Bills Bonds Mortgages Goods Chattells Slate
Linnen and all other y personal Estate of what nature or kind so ever after payment of my Debts and
Funeral Expences I Give and Bequeath to my Cousin William Coldicott of Quinton aforesaid who
I nominate and appoint Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and revoke and make
void all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament
set my hand and seal the Twenty ninth Day of July in the Thirty first year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland
King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred
and Fifty Seven

our Lord 1767 Before the Worshipful James Benson Doctor of Laws Vicar
General in Spirituals of the Right Reverend Father in God William by divine
permission Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Gloucester and of his Episcopal
Consistory Official Principal Lawfully Constituted By William Coldicott
Sole Executor xc to whom xc having first Sworn well and faithfully to
Administer to the said Will and also to Exhibite an Inventory and
Render an account xc
