In the Name of God Amen

I Benjamin Surman being well in health and of
sound mind and memory do make this my
last Will and Testament in manner following
that is to say First I bequeath my Soul into
the hands of Allmighty God hoping and
believeing a remision of my Sins through the
merrits and Mediation of Jesus Christ Our
Lord and my Body I commit to the Earth to be
Buried at the Discresion of my Executors
hereinafter named I give to my two Sons
namely Benjamin Surman of the Parish of
Prescot in the County of Lancaster and John
Surman of the Parish of Saint Margrets
Westminster in the County of Middlesex in the Kingdom of Great Britain
the Sole Executors of this my last Will and
Testament and I do Will and bequeath to
the said Benjn Surman and John Surman
the Sum of Eighteen pounds pr. annum
which is in the Long Annuities of the Bank of
England in the Name of Benjamin Surman
Father to the above said Benjamin and John
and my Will is that the said Sum of £18 a
year be sold out of the Long Annuities of the
Bank of England and equally Divided
between the said Benjamin and John and
my Will is that after the Sale of the aforesaid
£18 a year that the said Benjamin Surman
and John Surman shall give unto Mary
Bess of Tolden? in the Parish of Saint James's
Westminster the Sum of £20 that is to say £10
out of Benjamin Surmans share and £10 out
of John Surmans share in Consideration of
the said Mary Biss being nearly related to my
wife and my Will is that the said Mary
Biss do possess the fornature she possesses at
my Decease and as for the remainder of my
property whatsoever and wheresoever I give
to my before said Sons and I do hereby revoke
all and all manner of Wills heretofore made
by me In Witness thereof the said Benjamin
Surman have to this my Last Will and
Testament set my hand and Seal this Second
Day of November in the 38 year of Our Sovereign
Lord George the third by the Grace of God of
Great Britain France and Ireland King
Defender of the faith and so forth and in
the year of Our Lord 1798 H Benjn Surman (SS)
Signed declared and published by the said
Benjamin Surman and for his last Will
and Testament in the presence of us who
subscribed our Names as Witnesses in the
Testators presence and at his request Luke
Wrigley Thomas Bridgford x Mark

proved 21 Apr 1807; administration granted to the two sons named
