In the name of God Amen I John Blomer of Hatheropp in the Countie of Glouc Esquire beinge in good and disposing memorie doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge that is to saie
First I bequeath my soule unto the blessed and indevided Trinitie my maker Redeemer and Comforter by the bitter passion of my said Redeemer hopinge to be saved and to obtaine the blisse of heaven
Item I bequeath my bodie to Christian buriall as my deare wife and my friends shall thinke fitt in private manner
Item whereas I have heretofore by deed indented tripartitite bearing date the first daie of June nowe last past made by mee the first parte, the right honourable Lord Petre [side anotation ----- deceased] Sr Edward Yate of Buckland in the countie of Berks Knight and baronett and others of the second parte and my two daughters on the third parte conveyed for divers yeares the mannor and farme of Eastletch Turvell and fower yardlands in Eastletch Martin called Priors Cotes and one meadowe in Leachlaid called Redhey And alsoe diverse lands and tenements in Hampton Maysey all lying in the said Countie of Gloucester as by the said verited Deed more at large appeareth to raise of the profitts of the said landes the some of three thousand pounds for the advancement of two daughters Marie and Frannces since which time it hath pleased God that the said Frannces is deceased in which event to happen there is a provisoe conteyned in the said verited deed That if either of the said daughters should dye the porc’on to her assigned by the said Deed should be disposed in such sorte as I by my last will should limmitt and appoint. Nowe I for divercc’on to the said Sr Edward Yate John Chamberlyn and William Blomer in that [ ] doe appoint and declare the some of one thousand five hundred pounds soe intended to the said Frannces to be devided amongest my three younger children- that is to saie, to William Blomer, Anthonie Blomer and the said Marie Blomer equally to be paid unto them at their sev’all ages of one and twentie yeares in augmentation of their maintenance and livelihood
And whereas I was heretofore trusted togethe with others in the estate of my brother Symon Unwyne of Horton in the Countie of Wilts Esquire And also have since in the behalfe of Ellinor Unwyne his widdowe who was my natural sister nowe deceased And in the behalf of my nephew John Unwyn her sonne and heire for the presevac’on of the estate which was many waies endangered undergone great troubles and suites and therein have spent much of my owne estate I have discharged my hands thereof unto the younger children of my late brother and sister soe as there is nothinge remayninge by me due ainie waies concerninge the same unto aine of the said Children And whereas the wardshipp of my said nephew John Unwyn hath beene heretofore by mee purchased of the right honourable William Lord [Marques?] of Winchester,to whome the wardshippe of my said Nephewe did then belong, so as the marriage of my said Nephewe doth belonge unto mee by the lawe, my will is that my said Nephewe (the expences which shall be made to appeare to have beene by me spent for the preservac’on of the estate of him and his mother and other the troubles I have beene at charged therein as in the comissions and duites and alsoe for repairrac’ons of the howse thereof) beinge by him satisfied to, my executors, and hee procureing to my Executors a sufficient discharge from his brothers and sisters for all demands they maie pretend to have against me conceninge my intermedling in the said estate, my will is that my said executors shall discharge and free my said Nephew of his said wardshipp and marriage in such sorte as his Counsell shall advise without anie further payinge or givinge for the same
Item I bequeath unto Richard Mainsell the some of one hundred pounds
Item I give unto my servant Richard Butler the some of five pounds
Item I give unto Susan Neale my maide servant five pounds
And I ordaine and make my deare wife Frannces Blomer, and my worthie good friend and cozen Sr Edward Yate of Buckland knight and Baronet executors of this my last will and testament and I anull and revoke all former testaments my me heretofore made and expressed to bee my last will and testament.In witness whereof I the said John Blomer have to this my last will and testament sett my hand and seale the first daie of December in the fowerteen yere of the raigne of out Soveraigne Lord Charles by the grace of God Kinge of England Scotland France and Ireland defender of the faith etc Anno[ ] Dm’ one thousand six hundred thirtie eight John Blomer, sealed and published by the said John Blomer for his last will and testament in the presence of William Blomer Henry Blomer Robert Kebble Johes Gla---
The probate of the will is in latin and should be translated. It mentions John William Antony and Maria Blomer, wife Frances and Sir Edward Yate were granted probate

(note Sir Edward Yate appears to have died in 1645) (note according to John’s Ipm, his heir, John who was not named in the will was 9 years old on 30 July 1638)
