This is the last Will and Testament of me John Wale of the
South end of Mountsorrel in the County of Leicester Baker
I give and devise the whole of my property both real and personal
to my Wife Sarah Wale and to my Daughter Emma Wale
upon Trust for the purposes following. That my Wife Sarah
Wale shall receive the rents profits arising from my real and
personal estate during the term of her natural life for her own
absolute use and benefit and after her decease the whole of my
real and personal Estate shall within six calendar months by
private contract or otherwise be sold and the proceeds of such
sale or sales be equally divided amongst such of my children
or their Wives or their Children as may be living at the time
of her decease and whereas my Son Alfred Wale has lent me
the Sum of Three hundred pounds on Mortgage on the property
bequeathed to me by Thomas Brearly my will is that he
should first of all be paid the sum of Three hundred pounds
or such part as shall remain unpaid at the time of my
decease or decease of Wife Sarah Wale and afterwards take an
equal share with such of my children or ^their descendants as may
be living at the decease of my aforesaid Wife or of myself or
whichsoever may be the longest survivor and I hereby charge
me real and personal estate with my Funeral expences and
testamentary expences and the expence of proving this my Will
And I nominate and appoint my Wife Sarah Wale and my

daughter Emma Wale joint Executrixes for proving this my Will
and carrying the same into execution Given under my hand
this fourteenth of November in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and sixty five Signed by the
aforesaid John Wale the Testator as and for his last Will and
Testament in the presence of us who at his request have in his
presence and in the presence of each other Subscribed our names
as Witnesses - John Wale -

Proved at Leicester the Twenty seventh
day of January 1873 by the Oath of
Emma Wale Spinster Daughter of the
deceased the surviving Executrix to whom
Administration was granted.
The Testator John Wale was late of Mountsorrel
in the County of Leicester Baker and died on
the thirteenth day of October 1872 at Mountsorrel
aforesaid
