Justin Judd Spence was born on October 12, 1918 in MT Vernon, Weschester, New York, United States, the son of Loretta Finn and William J. Spence.^[1]

Mr. Spence was a veteran of World War II. He served in the 79th Infantry and was awarded a Bronze Star. He was discharged as a captain in 1945. He also served in the 112th Field Artillery, New Jersey Army National Guard. ^[2][3]
