This person was created through the import of Bishop Family Tree.ged on 18 February 2011. Significantly changed since by John Spicer, based on the Visitation of Devon and other records found.

Based on the way that record (the Visitation) has been created it suggests that Nicholas left Exeter about 1609 or 1610 - no date of death recorded locally, and apart from his first two children, no date of birth. This is consistent with other Spicer records where we know the person was born in Exeter and later left the city.

And have found apprenticeship records for two of his sons, and details relating to a third, in London.

Also found a burial record at St Mary Aldermary for 1625. This church as strong family connections - two Exeter Spicer's are definitely buried there (a Richard and another Nicholas). However, checking the details of this record (it can be viewed online) it says this 1625 burial was for a servant, so it is not likely to be the burial record of this merchant. There are lots of other Nicholas Spicer burial records in London through the mid 1600's, but at this point (Dec 2108) no idea which, if any of them, is for this Nicholas.
