Alfred's birth was registered in the first quarter of 1844 in the Eastry Union registration district of Kent. His mother's maiden surname was White^[1]

In 1861 Alfred was living with his parents and siblings in Stourmouth, Kent. He was an apprentice tailor^[2]

In 1881 Alfred was lodging with his sister Sarah Maria Smith and her family at 108 Campden Houses, Kensington. He was working as a Tailor^[3].

Death

Alfred Spong died aged 41 in 1885. His death was registered in the Marylebone registration district of London^[4]
