Biography
His parents are James Sprake and Jane Hobbs.
After his marriage he lived at Sheep Hills.
He farmed at Sheep Hills for 11 years but then had to rent the property out due to poor health. He had been ill for 2 years prior to his death.
He died age 47.
He was the brother of Messrs. Charles, James, and Samuel Sprake, of Murtoa, Mr. George Sprake, of Geelong, Mrs. D. McColl, of Warracknabeal, and Mrs. Haysom, of Melbourne.
He was buried in Stawell cemetery.
