Lucy was the daughter of Sir John St.John of Lidyard Tregoz, Wiltshire, Knt., and Sir Allen Apsley's third wife. They had ten children. She remarried in her early years of widowhood causing considerable domestic quarrels.
Of her five daughters to Sir Allen Apsley only one is known to have married.
She was buried in St Margaret's Churchyard, Owthorpe, Rushcliffe borough, Nottinghamshire, England.
