Obituary Amos Stagg, IV
Amos Alonzo (Lonnie) Stagg IV, aged 54, passed away suddenly December 10, 2005. He was preceded in death by coaches, Amos Alonzo Stagg Sr. and Jr., grandparents, L V and Lola Eberhard and Uncle R. Wayne Eberhard. He is survived by his mother, Joan Stagg Gallagher (Joseph) and father, Amos Alonzo Stagg III (Joan); sister, Brenda; brother, Robert (T'Onna); daughter, Regina; stepson, Joey Black; and loving companion, Lori Cater and her family. Also by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Lonnie loved sports, especially playing golf with his many buddies, watching football and Nascar racing, and all activities that involved family and friends. He was employed by Great Lakes Wholesale, where he enjoyed a successful career in sales and was a pioneer in the Dollar Store industry. He will be greatly missed by his customers and fellow employees and lovingly remembered for his generous spirit, always putting others before himself. Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Chapel. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and also on Wednesday from noon until time of the service.
