Hannah was born in Tomockway, Pennsylvania on 8 May 1860, the daughter of Samuel Stanley and Susan Lewelyn. She died on 27 November 1944, aged 84 years 6 months and 19 days in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the widow of Jacob B. Blackmon. She was buried in Moshassuck Cemetery in Central Falls on 29 November 1944.[1]
Obituary:[2] Mrs. Hannah (Stanley) Blackmon, 84, widow of Jacob B. Blackmon, died at her home, 41 Pidge Avenue, Pawtucket, yesterday [27 November 1944] after a short illness. A resident of Pawtucket for 73 years, she was a member of Leah Rebekah Lodge, No. 16, IOOF; was a past noble grand of that lodge; a member of the Past Noble Grands' Association, and of the Park Place Congregational Church Women's Guild. Surviving are a son, J. Stanley Blackmon; two daughters, Mrs. Howard W. Darling and Mrs. J. Wilfrid Beliveau, all of Pawtucket; and a brother, Joseph Stanley, of East Greenwich; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m tomorrow [29 November 1944] afternoon, at the funeral home of H.p. Judson & Sons, 172 Pine Street, with the Rev. Carl A. Glover, interim pastor of Park Place Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Moshassuck Cemetery, Central Falls. The Leah Rebekah Lodge ritual will be held at 7 tonight [28 November 1944] at the funeral home.
