Biography

Jacob Stapert, born 18 May 1905[1] in Sint Annaparochie, Friesland, Nederland, son of Meile Stapert and Pleuntje Kuik. He died 5 April 1983[2] and was buried at the Fairplains Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan[3]

Jacob Stapert emigrated to the United States of America. They arrived 20 April 1908 with the steamship Nieuw Amsterdam at Ellis Island in New York. Their destination was his uncle Ed.Stapperd in Kalamazoo, Michigan[4]

Jacob Stapert, 26 years, press feeder, residing in Grand Rapids, filed in January 1932 his Declaration of Intention. He arrived 21 April 1908 with the steamship Nieuw Amsterdam in New York; married 14 September 1926 in Grand Rapids with Sadie, who was born 1 April 1900 in Sint Annaparochie[5]
