Biography
Note that the 1850 census says John F. Stazel was born in Vermont, not Maryland, as with the rest of his older siblings. While it's possible he was born there, I can find no other documentation placing the family in Vermont. It's possible that was a census taker error. I am keeping his birth place as Maryland, but uncertain. If I learn differently, I will update his profile as needed.
