Richard Steele III was christened either 4 Feb 1587[1] or 4 Feb 1588 at St Mary the Virgin, Fairsted, Essex, England[2], the son of Richard Steele II and Elizabeth (Unknown). He married Elizabeth Brady on 14 April 1623 in Fairsted.[3][4] Richard died 25 November 1665. Unlike his two brothers, George and John, who sailed for the colonies, Richard and his family stayed in England.
Note
The baptism year in the Ancestry record is 1587 and in the familysearch record is 1588. Being February, it would be the following year, new style. Without being able to see the image, it is likely the transcriber at familysearch converted the year to new style, which would put the baptism at 4 Feb 1588. Once this has been confirmed, this note can be removed.
