Sarah was born in Ohio in 1886, daughter of Charles Stewart and Nancy Mellon. She married Charles K. Hosack in 1906. They had four children. In 1930 she divorced Charles and in February of 1931, married James Ostin Sutherland, a widower with several children. Sarah passed away in 1947.
