Biography
William was born about 1852. [1] He was the son of Joseph Stewart, farmer, and Ann, and lived at Lislee, Donaghenry, County Tyrone as of 1882.
On 8 July 1882 at the Cookstown registry office, he married Nancy (Ann) Irwin. [2] [3] She died in childbirth in 1891 after having (at least) 7 children.

Based on age at census, Joseph might not be the son of Nancy Irwin. No birth record found for him.
