Biography

John Stewart was born about 1839 in Upper Canada. He was the son of David Stewart and Janet McMillan.

In 1861 he was living in Clarke, Durham, Ontario (on the same census page as his parents).

He married Nancy McMillan on 18 Dec 1862 in Northumberland and Durham, Canada West.
