Biography

Lydia Stops was born in about 1807 at Thame in Oxfordshire, the daughter of William Stops. [1][2].

Immanuel Pollicut, aged 30, a labourer of Thame, son of William Pollicut, labourer; and Lydia Stops, aged 29, a servant of Thame, daughter of William Stops, labourer; were married at the parish church of Thame on 1 December 1838 [1].

In 1851, Lydia (named as Lidia in the census return) was living at Pound Lane in Thame with her husband Emanuel and their children. Her age was given as 44, implying a birth date in 1806 or 1807. Her birthplace was given as Thame, Oxfordshire [2]

She passed away in 1878. [3]
