Biography

Josef STRICKER was born in 1861.^[1] He is the son of Salomon Stricker and Rosalie Riesz.

Josef was a co-owner with brother Sigmund of a tannery in Szombathely, Hungary.

Josef married Oct. 30, 1892 at the Stadttempel in Vienna to Gisela Jaray.^[2]

Living at Hörlgasse 4, Vienna-9 at time of deportation at age of 80, according to his nephew, Otto Stricker [memoir/D Lavender].

Josef Stricker's last address was Wien 9, Hörlgasse 4. He was deported to Lodz/Litzmannstadt on October 28th, 1941. At this time he was aged 80.^[3]

He was deported to Lódz ghetto, Poland on 28th. October 1941 where he died in 1942.^[4]
