Richard Strode was born circa 1476 at of Newnham, Plympton St. Mary, Devon, England.^[1]He married Agnes Milliton, daughter of Elizabeth Worthe and John Milliton about 1502 in Meavy, Devon, England^[2]He died on the 5th of December 1552 at of Newnham, Plympton St. Mary, Devonshire, England.

Richard's son and heir, William Strode, Esq., "born at Newnham (in Plympton St. Mary), Devon 16 June 1504", married Elizabeth Courtenay.^[3]
