Bessie (Sutherland) Laking was a centenarian, living to age 104.
Bessie Maude Sutherland was born on 25 October 1902 in Saint Stephen, Charlotte County, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Peter W Sutherland (1869–1941) and Ella May Pike (1870–1960).
Bessie (18) married Clair Wallace Laking (15) (born on 29 December 1905 in McAdam, York County, New Brunswick; son of Luther Holt Laking) on 1 September 1921 in McAdam, York, New Brunswick. Their known daughter was Louise Lois Laking (1924–2009).
Bessie died on 10 March 2007 in McAdam, York County, aged 104.[1] She was buried in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, New Brunswick.
