Biography
OBITUARY: John Daniel Suttie of Placitas, NM passed on Christmas Day 2018 after a short battle with cancer. John was surrounded by family and friends his last month.
John owned Suttie's Insurance Agency, Inc. In Albuquerque, for 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, J. Lloyd Suttie. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karla Suttie, his mother Ruth Suttie, sisters Becky Sebring, Debbie Suttie, Pam Haddon and husband Stan, brothers Joe Suttie and wife Carol, Dave Suttie and wife Ruby.
John loved flying and became a private pilot and flew a 1949 Cessna Taildragger. He enjoyed gun smithing, rebuilding vintage Porches and motorcycles. His most recent interests were archery and flying drones. John also corresponded with his AR15.com family daily in the last months of his life as they were a spiritual help to him.
He will be sorely missed by his insured, family and friends. As he said in his last days, "Find the good in the day".
