Biography

Richard was born in 1816. He was the son of Thomas Sutton and Betty Baker.

Richard's gravestone gives his date of death as 15 Jan 1884.^[1]

The will of Richard Sutton, late of Marshside, Southport, farmer and beerhouse keeper, who died 14 Jan 1884 at Marshside, was proved at Liverpool by sons William Sutton, farmer, and Richard Sutton, milk dealer, both of Shellfield Road, Southport. Note that this date differs by one day from the date given on Richard's gravestone.^[2]
