James Swift was born in Parr on May 1st 1822 and baptised on May 26th 1822 at St Michael and All Angels, Burton Wood Chapelry, Warrington St Elphin Parish. He is the son of John Swift and Hannah Kilshaw. He was baptized by J Williamson. His father's occupation was a collier [1]
