William Tuemler, 24, and Audrey Tackett, 18, are married on 11 Jul 1935. His parents are listed as William Tuemler and Stella Tuemler and hers as Henry and Eva Tackett. [4]

1940 - West Virginia, Boone County, Sherman, District 3-15, 7 May 1940
Sheet 31B of the census shows William Rumpler (28), wife Audrey D (23) and children Caretta (3), Billie R (2) and Henry L (8 mos.) living in the home. The home is rented for $9. William completed 4 years of high school and Audrey the 5th grade. The family was living in the same house in 1935. William is a coal miner and earned $1,800 in 1939. [5]

1940 - West Virginia, Boone County
William Henry Tuemler, born 13 Aug 1911 in Covington, KY, is 29 when he completes his WWII Draft Registration card. He lists his wife, Audrey as the one who will know his address. He is working for the Red Parrot Coal Company. He is reported to be 6'1" tall, weighs 158 pounds and has blue eues, brown hair and a light complexion. [6]

Sheet 16 of the census shows William J Tumler (38), wife Audrey (32) and children Caretta (14), Billy Ray (13), Henry Lee (10), Ernest Gene (9), Robert Jr (7), Paul E (6), and James A (3) living in the home. William was born in Kentucky and everyone else in West Virginia. William is a truck driver and worked 60 hours the week before the census. [7]
