Biography
Cecilia (Cecelia) was probably born July 25, 1800, and may have been the daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Taylor.[1] She married Pitkin Sperry in 1824 in Russia, Herkimer, New York, [2] where he had lived since at least 1810. [3] In 1850 they lived in Trenton, Oneida, New York with three of their children: Samuel, Harriet and Jane as well as Pitkin's mother Ann (Amy).[4] Ten years later, only Jane remained at home.[5] In 1870 Cecilia was a widow, still living in Trenton with her daughter.[6]
Cecilia died January 24, 1884, in Trenton[7] and is buried in the Olden-Barneveld Cemetery.[8]
