Helen Florence Taylor Beckmann (8 Oct 1915 - 23 Sep 1994);

Daughter of Cary Taylor and Amy Alsmiller;

Lived at 2421 Walnut Street; lived at 1111 5th Ave., Maywood Village, Proviso Township (Chicago area), Cook County, Illinois (1930-31); lived at 110 S. 39th St. (1932); 721 S. 41st St. (1925-29, 1933-48); lived in apartment at 5102 S. 3rd St., Apt. C (from abt 1948-55); lived at 834 Eastern Parkway from 1956 until her death in 1994;

Worked as a stenographer and a secretary; and later as both at Beckmann studio;

An avid bowler and golfer. She and Gene were members at Audubon Country Club. They both enjoyed travel;

Married Eugene (Gene) Beckmann on 5 Feb 1948. Gene Beckmann was a professional portrait photographer at Beckmann Studio (320 W. Market, Louisville). The studio had been his father's. His parents were Bernard C. Beckmann and Caroline Krupp Beckmann and were the original owners of 834 Eastern Parkway;

Died on 23 Sep 1994 at age 78 from complications of diabetes;

Obituary: Mrs. Eugene Beckmann, 78, died Friday at Suburban Medical Center. She was the former Helen F. Taylor and a member of Audubon Country Club. Survivors: a cousin, Joyce Kamenish, who cared for her. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 770 Eastern Parkway. Burial: St. Louis Cemetery. Visitation: Keenan's Funeral Home, 4724 Dixie Highway, 6-9 p.m. Monday. Memorial gifts: American Diabetes Association.
