Peter Tetrick was the son of Joseph and Margaret (Robinson) Tetrick. He was born February 13, 1812 in Marion County, and died May 30, 1889. He would marry Matilda Nay, second eldest daughter of John and Phoebe (Sturm) Nay, Jr., in Harrison, Virginia, on April 6, 1836.

Mary Julian, born 9-22-1841; married 3-19-1865; died 6-9-1877, married Samuel Belch.
Louisa, born 3-17-1845; died 4-14-1876.
Rhuhama, born 3-19-1847; married 3-1-1869; died 4-17-1873, married _. Sandy.
Florella, born 1-27-1850; died 11-5-1874
James Marion, born 9-2-1852; married 9-2-1875; died 8-20-1901, married Jane Huey, daughter of John and Sarah (Parsons) Huey.
Isaac Pinkney, born 1-21-1857; died 12-25-1876.
Phoebe Florence, born 7-1-1859
Peter and Matilda worked a family farm located along the Buffalo River outside of Mannington in a nearby hamlet named Worthington. He also served as a county justice in the 1850s.
Peter died in 1889 at the age of 77. He is buried along with many relatives in the Tetrick Cemetery #2 in Four States, Marion County, West Virginia.
