Elsie Mary Thayer was born on September 27, 1855 in Rochelle, Ogle County, Illinois, United States, daughter of Ezekiel Thayer (1804–1904) and Mary Atwood (1808–1896).
Elsie died on January 1, 1934 in Greeley, Weld County, Colorado, United States, aged 78. She is commemorated at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Los Angeles County, California, USA (plot: Rose Lawn, Gate 17, Section 1, Lot 279B, Grave 2).[1]
