Note: DEATH: Death of Mrs. Anna Vonbank - The death of Mrs. Anna Vonbank, one of our highly respected early settlers, occurred, last Friday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Matt. Koetz, Minneapolis, with whom she was making a visit. Deceased had suffered a stroke of apoplexy in February, 1904, from which she never entirely rallied and last week, she suffered two apoplectic strokes culminating in her death. Deceased was born in Luxembourg, Oct 1, 1834. She came to America in 1857 and in that same year was married to John Vonbank, at St. Joseph, this county. One daughter and her husband preceded her to the grave and she is survived by two sons and four daughters. Mrs. Vonbank's remains were conveyed to Jordan from Minneapolis, Saturday and kept at the home of her son-in-law, C. Roderig, until Monday morning, when the funeral took place from St. John's Catholic church, Rev. Servatius officiating. The funeral was very largely attended, a long procession of mourners and friends following her remains to their last resting place in beautiful St. John's cemetery.
