Biography
Francis William Thring, the fourth, was born in 1882 at Wentworth, New South Wales, Australia. He was the son of Francis William Thring III and Angelina McDonald (name on birth record) or Laura McKenzie (name on death recod). [1] His paternal forebears were Francis William Thring (1837-1908) and Francis William Thring (1812-1887). His father married Leonora Savill in 1902 at Adelaide, South Australia.
F W, as he was known, was the head of the theatrical firm J C Williamson's in the 1920s, and subsequently founded the theatre film production studio Efftee Studios in the 1930s. [2]
He married Olive Kreitmeyer in 1921 at Melbourne, Victoria. [3]
He passed away, aged 53 years, in 1936 at Melbourne. [4]
