Page 147 February 18, 1799 No. 756 We do hereby certify that Richard Thurman is entitled to 200 acres of 2nd rate land by virtue of his having improved the same agreeably to an act of the assembly entitled “an act for encouraging and granting relief to settlers” and located as follows in Green County on the south side of Cumberland River beginning at a white oak and sugar tree upon a line of Andrew Hamilton’s on Bear Creek thence running north 70 E 181 poles to the line of Mr. Bond thence with Bond line S25E150 poles thence S70 W and north to the beginning the improvement near the lower corner.
