Note: John Thomas Malcom was my great, great grandfather and his first and second wives (Francis A. Toland and Rosetta Jimerson, respectively) both died during the marriage after having children. It looks like John then married Laura Fudge at a later age, and the strange thing is that she was as young as some of his children! From what I can tell, they didn't have children together. It's also sad that the two brief references to Laura in John's bible are not in his writing...I'm not sure if it was my grandmother (Earlene Malcom Norwood) or great grandmother (Edyth Durskey Malcom) who wrote her in the bible (my mother says their handwriting is similar). I'm not sure why John didn't write it himself. I also actually have the marriage certificates for John's first two wives (that were kept with the bible), but again, not on Laura. Darron Forehand
