Poughkeepsie, Eagle-News (Poughkeepsie, NY), 1 Mar 1941, page 10: Burgess-Traver Nuptials Announced: Mr & Mrs William Traudt, 65 Washington St, announce the marriage of their daughter, Pearl Traver, to Andrew H Burgess, son of Mr & Mrs John Burgess, Washington, D.C. The ceremony took place last night in St John's Lutheran Church at 8 o'clock with Dr Frederick J Baum, minister, officiating. After a short wedding trip, Mr Burgess and his bride will live in this city. The former is employed by the Federal Bearing Company.
Poughkeepsie Journal (Poughkeepsie, NY); 18 Jun 1989, page 2B: Pearl D Burgess, 74, co-owner & co-operator of a vending machine company in Poughkeepsie until her retirement in 1980, died Thursday at her home. She had previously lived in Poughkeepsie for 72 years and was treasurer of Vassar Warner Home there for 15 years and a member of the board of directors. Mrs Burgess was a member of the Dutchess Golf & Country Club and a council member and Sunday School teacher for St John's Lutheran Church.
Her husband, Andrew Burgess, survives at home. Other survivors include a daughter, Andrea Johnston of Port Charlotte, two brothers: William Traudt of Cary, Ill and Robert Traudt of Dennis, Mass; two sisters, Helen Hommel of Stanfordville and Janet Easterbrook of Chester (Orange County), and two grandchildren.
