Biography

James was a farmer, and according to Madeline Felker he was a "very proud temperamental man - very opinionated - talkative." James and Emma were married just 3 days before she died. After his 2nd wife, Addie, died he married Addie's sister, Viola. Note that the mother of Addie and Viola (Clara Watts) eventually married William Bopra. After James died his 4th wife, Libby and 7 of their children were living in the city of Sandusky, Sanilac Co., Mich., during the 1920 census. By 1930 she and 5 children were living in Port Huron, Mich. (question: was Libby previously married to a Pangborn?
