Biography

Gerald was born in 1902. He was the son of John Tuohy and Catherine Gearing. ^[1]

TUOHY.-On October 26, Mary Margaret. ='nee MIollie Maher." dearly beloved wife of :erald and loving mother of little Jim Tuohy, 70 Henley Beach road, Mile-End, and loved only child of Margaret and the late James Maher , late of Yorke's Peninsula and Hamley Bridge. Aged 26 years. Requiescat in pace.^[2]

Gerald Tuohy pleaded guilty to having ridden a motor cycle along the Port road, Adelaide, on November 16 at a speed 'of 30 miles an hour. He was fined £1 S/^[3]

TUOHY.—In loving memory of my dear father, John Joseph Tuohy, who passed away at Adelaide on June 23, 1931. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on his soul. Ever remembered J by his loving son, Gerald, Mile End .^[4]

Racehorse Missing Geraldette, a three-year-old filly who has raced on metropolitan courses, jumped the fence of her paddock in Marion road. West Richmond, yesterday, and has not been seen since. Geraldette is under lease to Mr. Gerald Lawrence Tuohy butcher, of Henley Beach road, Torrenrville. She has an injured . fetlock, and carries a white star on her forehead. Lockleys police are inquiring.^[5]

In 1947 Gerald is reported at a fundraiser for the Catholic orphanage. ^[6] He passed away in 1975.
