Margaret Constance Twentyman-Jones was born on the 26th of April 1912 in Rondebosch.[1]
Margaret (23) married John Howie Cairns (27) (born in 1908; son of Patrick Thomas Cairns and Eliza Crawford Jackson (Howie) Cairns) on 21 December 1936 in Cape Town, Cape Province, Union of South Africa. She had met him at the University of Cape Town (UCT) where she was a student. Margaret's sister Patricia Mary was a witness at the wedding.[2] [1]
In 2004, at the age of ninety-six, she still lived in the house she was born in (Edrom).[1]
Margaret Constance Twentyman, child of Edgar Lawrence Twentyman Jones and Margaret Josephine Shaw, died (age 97) on 24 November 2009 in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.[3]
